Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescriptions accurately according to legal and regulatory standards.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure billing accuracy.
- Assist pharmacists with medication management, inventory control, and quality assurance.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering patient inquiries regarding medications and general pharmacy operations.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing equipment and computer systems efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
- Handle controlled substances securely and adhere to strict chain-of-custody protocols.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ExCPT certification.
- Valid California State Pharmacy Technician License.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
