Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections using standard techniques
- Verify patient identity and prepare specimens for laboratory processing
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols
- Operate and sterilize phlebotomy equipment safely
- Provide exceptional patient care and communicate procedures clearly
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow
- Participate in quality assurance and infection control initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Knowledge of CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations
- Excellent venipuncture skills for diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Positive attitude and commitment to patient dignity
