Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor patients' vital signs and provide intraoperative support
- Document procedures accurately and maintain sterile environments per OSHA standards
- Manage surgical inventory and equipment calibration
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for surgical outcomes
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience
- Graduate of accredited surgical technology program
- Knowledge of sterile processing and instrumentation
- Ability to work in high-pressure emergency situations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong attention to detail and physical stamina
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
