Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor patient vital signs and document surgical events accurately
- Manage surgical supplies inventory and restock operating rooms between cases
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, AORN, and HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for surgical protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 2+ years of recent OR experience preferred
- Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program
- BLS/CPR certification maintained
- Proficiency in multiple surgical specialties (e.g., orthopedic, general)
- Strong understanding of sterile processing protocols
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Valid Arizona state healthcare provider license
