Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields, instruments, and equipment for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies
- Ensure proper sterilization and handling of biohazardous materials
- Monitor inventory and restock operating rooms efficiently
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Document procedural details accurately according to regulatory standards
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and HIPAA protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 3 years of OR experience in hospital or ASC setting
- Expertise in orthopedic, neuro, or cardiovascular procedures preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- BLS/CPR certification and surgical instrument mastery
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
