Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for complex surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with instrument passing and sterile technique
- Maintain accurate surgical counts and documentation per regulatory standards
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Manage sterilization and inventory of surgical equipment
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience in general surgery
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work in high-pressure emergency situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with robotic surgery systems preferred
