Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical equipment for procedures
- Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and sterile environments
- Count and document instruments, sponges, and sharps before/after procedures
- Transport patients and position them safely for surgery
- Scrub, gown, and assist with sterile draping
- Operate sterilization equipment and manage inventory
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited surgical technology program
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures
