Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with instrument passing and wound closure
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to OSHA/JCAHO protocols
- Inventory and manage surgical equipment supplies
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care OR experience
- BLS certification with current ACLS preferred
- Familiarity with robotic surgery systems (e.g., da Vinci)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
- New Jersey state license in good standing
- Strong attention to detail and crisis management skills
