Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and instruments for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and sponges efficiently.
- Maintain strict sterile environments and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure nothing is left in the patient.
- Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and positioning them safely.
- Monitor and document patient vitals during procedures.
- Order and sterilize medical supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center setting.
- State of Colorado Surgical Technologist license in good standing.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
