Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance to residents (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Monitor vital signs and document resident health observations
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and transportation to activities
- Support meal preparation and feeding assistance as needed
- Maintain clean, safe resident environments and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans
- Respond promptly to resident call systems and emergency situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- No prior healthcare experience necessary (training provided)
- Current Maryland CNA certification or willingness to obtain
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Background check and drug screen required
- Must enjoy working with elderly populations
