Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), including bathing, grooming, and dressing patients.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transfers, and walking as needed to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary restrictions and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, including stocking supplies and changing linens.
- Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and responses to treatment in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Arizona.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
