Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients at all times.
- Document patient care activities and daily progress in electronic health records accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Must hold a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or be willing to obtain one.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Strong compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to shift locations.
