Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Prepare patients for medical examinations, treatments, and surgeries, ensuring they are comfortable and informed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in patient rooms and common areas.
- Document patient care plans, dietary intake, and behavioral changes accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and family members regarding patient progress and needs.
- Administer medication and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic Arrhythmia recognition preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Compassionate demeanor with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proof of immunizations and negative TB test required.
