Responsibilities
- Provide Personal Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor Health: Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
- Assistance with Mobility: Help patients move safely from bed to wheelchair or assist with walking using mobility aids.
- Medication Management: Remind patients to take their medications as prescribed and assist with medication administration when qualified.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and assist patients with eating if necessary.
- Companionship: Engage patients in conversation and social activities to promote emotional well-being and reduce loneliness.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks and laundry specific to the patient's care.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required (or currently enrolled).
- No prior experience required. We provide on-the-job training!
- Strong Compassion & Patience: A genuine desire to help others and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Valid Driver's License: Preferred (for home health visits).
- Reliable Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to commute to the facility or client homes.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
