Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations, reporting any abnormalities.
  • Assist with patient mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of RNs and LPNs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment to prevent infection.
  • Document patient care activities, intake/output, and changes in patient condition in electronic health records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Qualifications

  • Current, active, and unencumbered Ohio State Board of Nursing CNA license.
  • CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
  • Physical stamina and emotional resilience to handle a demanding healthcare environment.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is highly preferred.
