Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, and responses to treatment in electronic health records (EHR) promptly.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient status and care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and visitors.
- Respond immediately to patient requests and emergency situations following established protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong focus on patient dignity and respect.
