Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, patients, and families regarding care plans and any changes in condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients at all times.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA license in the state of Massachusetts.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable work ethic.
