Responsibilities
- Monitor Vital Signs: Regularly check and record patient blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with ADLs: Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
- Patient Hygiene: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and properly positioned to prevent bedsores.
- Medication Support: Assist patients with medication reminders and administration under the supervision of RNs.
- Communication: Relay important patient information to nurses and doctors in a timely manner.
- Environment Maintenance: Keep patient rooms clean, safe, and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Active CNA license required (Texas or willing to transfer).
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is mandatory.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassion: Strong empathy and a desire to help patients recover and thrive.
