Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist nurses and physicians with medical procedures, treatments, and examinations.
- Prepare and serve meals according to strict patient dietary requirements and nutritional plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions and needs to the nursing staff and charge nurse immediately.
- Document all care provided and patient responses in electronic health records accurately.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the state of Florida.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.
