Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and using walkers or wheelchairs safely.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses.
- Feed and assist patients with eating according to dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
