Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by registered nurses or physicians.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with facility protocols.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and emergencies, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Current and active California CNA License.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (ACLS preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNA in a hospital or long-term care facility.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients up to 250 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
