Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate, reporting any abnormalities immediately to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Provide basic bedside care, including feeding, positioning, and ambulation assistance, under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to update patient status, communicate concerns, and ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed personnel, strictly following safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of Wisconsin.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a certified nursing assistant program is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods during shifts.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
