Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, including walking and transferring from bed to chair.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions.
- Change bed linens and maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor towards patients.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
- Willingness to obtain CNA certification or complete a state-approved nursing assistant training program.
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods.
- CPR certification is a plus (training provided).
