Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics to ensure safety for both the patient and caregiver.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care activities and update medical records accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- No prior experience required; we provide comprehensive training for the right candidates.
- Candidate must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
