Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe patient environment in accordance with healthcare standards.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and progress accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or LPN supervisor.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required (Kansas State License).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
