Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist licensed nurses with medical procedures, treatments, and medication administration under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document patient conditions and care plans in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California CNA License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient advocacy.
