Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and dignity.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians and licensed nurses, strictly following safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide updates on patient status and concerns.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, helping to alleviate anxiety and improve quality of life.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts and medical records in accordance with facility policies.
Qualifications
- Current and valid North Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a long-term care or hospital environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shift hours.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient transfers.
