Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, feeding).
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to the charge nurse immediately.
- Assist with the administration of medications and treatments as directed by the RN.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records.
- Foster a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for residents and patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of New Mexico (required).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
