Responsibilities
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Transport patients safely using wheelchairs, stretchers, or walkers throughout the hospital.
- Document patient care activities and observations in electronic health records promptly.
- Respond swiftly to call lights and requests for assistance to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate effectively with the nursing staff to implement individualized care plans.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- CNA certification from an accredited program (or current enrollment in a CNA program).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients up to 100 lbs as required.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
