Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and ambulation.
- Document patient information, symptoms, and care provided in medical records accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment to prevent infection and accidents.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing staff regarding patient status.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and requests for assistance.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Tennessee.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift or move patients safely.
- Compassionate and patient-oriented attitude.
