Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Administer medications as directed and report any adverse reactions immediately.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California CNA Certification (CNA-1) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- CPR certification is highly desirable.
