Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately.
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide basic patient care such as changing linens, feeding patients, and assisting with mobility and transfers.
  • Observe and report any changes in patient condition, symptoms, or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment at all times.
  • Document patient care services and interactions in electronic medical records.

Qualifications

  • Current and active Texas State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
  • CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient empathy.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn electronic health record systems.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly preferred.
