Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately reporting any abnormalities.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Assist with mobility and safely transfer patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Document patient care activities and updates in electronic health records (EHR) efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and physicians regarding patient status and changes in condition.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented attitude.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment.
