Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Provide basic bedside care, such as feeding, positioning, and ambulating patients as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and functional.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, and progress in electronic health records accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and assist with mobility and comfort needs.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the State of Florida.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or CPR certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods as required by the role.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and detail-oriented professional attitude.
