Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance (ADLs).
- Vital Monitoring: Regularly measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Communication: Communicate patient status and changes to the Registered Nurse and healthcare team promptly.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities and observations in electronic medical records.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment.
- Assistance: Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and therapeutic exercises as directed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Virginia.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Training: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Physical: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients (up to 50lbs) as needed.
