Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance with Mobility: Safely transfer patients using mobility aids (walkers, wheelchairs) and assist with ambulation to prevent falls.
- Nutritional Support: Serve meals and assist patients who require help feeding themselves, ensuring proper hydration and dietary adherence.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and care plans in accordance with facility policies.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient needs and assist in emergency situations following facility protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid Arizona CNA license (RNs can apply as well).
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Compassion: Strong bedside manner and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for patients.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
