Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance to residents including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Monitor and document vital signs, nutritional intake, and behavioral changes
- Assist with medication administration under nurse supervision
- Facilitate recreational activities and social engagement for residents
- Maintain clean, safe environments following OSHA and facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to optimize resident outcomes
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Current Oregon CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months of recent long-term care experience
- Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Pass comprehensive background check and TB screening
- Strong communication skills and empathy for elderly populations
- Reliable transportation to multiple Portland locations
