Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health status by observing, symptom, and condition changes.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Provide basic bedside care to patients of all ages.
- Document vital signs, fluid intake/output, and patient behavior accurately.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Communicate patient needs and concerns to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient mobility.
- Compassionate and patient-centered attitude.
