Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Medication Assistance: Support patients with medication reminders and administer medications as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- Emotional Support: Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and their families, fostering a positive and comforting environment.
- Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs in accordance with company policies and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active, unencumbered California CNA license.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or home health setting preferred.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to show empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for home health visits.
