Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist physicians and nurses in performing patient examinations, taking vital signs, and recording medical histories.
- Clinical Procedures: Perform routine laboratory tests, administer injections, and prepare patients for diagnostic procedures.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient check-ins, verify insurance information, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, sterile environment and adhere to strict infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or NCMA.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and strong interpersonal communication skills.
