Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility using proper techniques.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Document patient care activities and medical records accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Valid New York State CNA Certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients up to 250 lbs.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not always required.
