Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Medication Reminders: Promptly remind clients to take prescribed medications at scheduled times.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light cleaning tasks.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings as needed.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs and incident reports regarding client status.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current state certification as a CNA or Home Health Aide is preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in caregiving, nursing assistance, or elderly care is a plus but not required for enthusiastic applicants.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- CPR/First Aid: Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for clients requiring transport).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
