Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social outings
- Document care activities and client progress accurately
- Follow individualized care plans and maintain client confidentiality
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid Maryland driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to pass thorough background check and drug screening
- Strong interpersonal skills and compassion for elderly/disabled clients
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Proficient in care documentation and health record keeping
