Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with instruments, materials, and equipment, ensuring they are clean, sterile, and well-maintained.
- Assist chairside during examinations and procedures, providing expert four-handed dentistry support.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide clear post-operative care instructions.
- Manage patient records accurately, including updating charts, verifying insurance information, and confirming appointment schedules.
- Perform vital signs and capture digital X-rays and intraoral images as directed by the dentist.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of dental supplies and order necessary materials.
- Adhere strictly to sterilization and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry or multi-specialty setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort and empathy.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Valid driverβs license and reliable transportation.
