Responsibilities
- Chair-Side Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring proper positioning and instruments are ready.
- Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, take vital signs, and explain treatment plans to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Digital Radiography: Perform intraoral and extraoral X-rays using digital sensors and process images accurately.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization and disinfection protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, update charts, and prepare treatment cards.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and order dental supplies and materials as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or Dental Assistant certification (CDA, DANB) required.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry practice preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in 4-handed dentistry, digital X-rays, and dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
