Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems with precision
- Administer patient care including chairside assistance, vital sign monitoring, and post-operative instructions
- Maintain immaculate operatory sanitation and inventory control for dental supplies
- Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic health records efficiently
- Train new staff on practice-specific workflows and technologies
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification from accredited program (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general or cosmetic dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental management software
- CPR/BLS certification and current state radiography license
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to ease patient anxiety
- Detail-oriented approach to infection control protocols
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and Saturdays
