Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures, including instrument preparation and patient monitoring
- Perform chairside duties such as suctioning and retraction
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage sterilization and infection control protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory levels
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-care instructions
- Coordinate scheduling and maintain accurate patient records
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
