Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex procedures including implants and orthodontics
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Implement strict infection control protocols (OSHA/CDC compliance)
- Train and mentor junior dental assistants
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize clinical efficiency
- Assist with treatment planning and case presentations
- Maintain sterilization and instrument management systems
- Support administrative tasks including insurance verification
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of dental assisting experience in a fast-paced practice
- RDA certification and current CPR/BLS certification
- Mastery of digital radiography (DEXIS/Sirona preferred)
- Knowledge of dental software (Epic, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft)
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Valid California dental X-ray license
