Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Provide four-handed dentistry support to dentists during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Patient Management: Greet patients warmly, review medical histories, and prepare them for treatment.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization protocols, cross-contamination prevention, and OSHA standards.
- Radiography: Perform intraoral and extraoral X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, update charts, and assist with insurance verification.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Operatory Setup: Ensure treatment rooms are fully equipped and sanitized for every patient.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current DANB certification or RDA license in the State of Texas.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical dental assisting experience preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Curve Dental).
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain high standards of accuracy.
