Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory management
- Provide chairside assistance to maintain patient comfort and procedure efficiency
- Perform administrative tasks including appointment scheduling and patient record management
- Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene practices
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from accredited program
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Sirona) and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental sterilization protocols
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish fluency highly preferred
